Impact of land use on soil microbial communities in the Wet Tropics of Queensland, Australia

This project focused on soil abiotic and biotic characteristics in 86 sites across four of the key land uses in a biodiversity hotspot in Queensland, Australia: banana production, sugarcane production, semi-natural (primarily managed grassland), and natural ecosystems (primarily rainforest). Additionally, sites where wild bananas were found in natural areas were characterised to bridge the associations found in natural and agricultural areas.
