Transcriptional Profiling of THP-1 Macrophages Upon oxLDL Stimulation

This study aims to investigate the transcriptional response of THP-1 macrophages following 6-hour stimulation with oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL), a key driver of foam cell formation and inflammatory activation in atherosclerosis. By profiling gene expression changes under oxLDL treatment, this work seeks to identify early molecular mechanisms underlying lipid uptake, pro-inflammatory signaling, and metabolic reprogramming in macrophages during atherogenesis. The dataset provides critical insights into the pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases and may reveal novel therapeutic targets for modulating macrophage behavior in plaque microenvironments.
