Lifestyle changes after working from home South Korea 2020

According to a survey conducted in South Korea in May 2020, around 74 percent of respondents answered that they liked not having to worry about how other people perceived them while working from home. This pressure toward conforming to societal norms, called nunchi in Korean, is the ability of a person to read people’s moods based on subtle social cues, such as tone in voice or facial expressions and is prevalent in many Korean office spaces among coworkers. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, remote work has become increasingly popular in South Korea.
