The research aims to examine how students’ socio-economic background influences their self-esteem and academic achievement, and how self-esteem may contribute to academic performance. The study employs a quantitative research design using a structured questionnaire as the primary data collection instrument. Socio-economic status is measured through indicators such as parental education, occupation, income level, and household resources. Self-esteem is assessed using standardized Likert-scale items adapted from established psychological scales, while academic performance is measured through self-reported academic achievement indicators. The collected data will be analyzed using statistical techniques such as descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis to determine the relationships among the variables. This instrument is intended for academic and research purposes in the fields of education, psychology, and social sciences, particularly within the Cambodian higher education context.
