The alien mangrove species Sonneratia apetala exhibits high adaptability and fast-growing characteristics, and is widely utilized in mangrove afforestation. In recent decades, the invasion risk of this species has attracted widespread attention and in-depth discussions owing to its natural regeneration, dispersal and propagation. This dataset, based on the monitoring of the spatial distribution of Sonneratia apetala in China in 2020, provides data support for the precise management and control of this alien species, as well as the restoration and reconstruction of native mangrove ecosystems.
