PSYCHOLINGUISTIC APPROACHES TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF LINGUISTIC THINKING IN STUDENTS: THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS

This article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of the psycholinguistic approach in the formation of linguistic thinking in students. An analysis of the mechanisms for the formation of linguistic thinking based on the interaction of linguistic and psychological aspects of psycholinguistics is carried out. Also, models of text perception, understanding and speech generation, in particular the theories of Ellis and Young, as well as V.P. Belyanin, are investigated. As a result, methodological recommendations have been developed to increase the efficiency of language acquisition by activating the cognitive activity of students.
