The dataset contains T1 and fractional anisotropy (FA) data from 28 healthy controls and 3 body donor brains as analyzed in the paper "Fractional Anisotropy as a Surrogate Marker of Brain Mechanics" to explore correlations between FA and mechanical tissue parameters from ex-vivo testing. For details see the preprint on bioRxiv: https://doi.org/10.64898/2026.04.13.717439 The data is in nifti format, the naming convention is <subject number>_T1.nii and <subject number>_FA.nii for data from healthy controls and BD<body donor number>_T1.nii and BD<body donor number>_FA.nii for body donor data. Sex and age are listed in the Excel file.
