SOCIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE UZBEK LANGUAGE AND ITS DEVELOPMENT

This article analyzes the social functions of the Uzbek language and the main factors influencing its development. Language is not only a means of communication, but also a significant social, cultural, educational and ideological phenomenon. The Uzbek language performs several important functions in society: communicative, cultural, educational, integrative, cognitive, official and identity-forming functions. As the state language of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Uzbek plays a central role in public administration, education, science, culture, mass media and social communication. The development of the Uzbek language is closely connected with historical changes, national independence, language policy, globalization, digital communication and the expansion of scientific terminology. The article emphasizes that the preservation and modernization of the Uzbek language are essential for strengthening national identity, cultural continuity and intellectual progress.
