This dataset supports the study “Depth-dependent regenerative competence in Sphagnum magellanicum defines functional limits for peatland recovery after disturbance.” The data derive from two controlled experiments evaluating vegetative regeneration of Sphagnum magellanicum in relation to shoot position and exogenous 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) concentration. The dataset includes sprouting, dry matter content, shoot number, and shoot length measurements. Data are provided both as an analysis-ready dataset and as the original experimental records.
