Age when regular smokers started smoking for the first time Indonesia 2019

According to a survey on regular smokers in Indonesia in 2019, 44 percent of the respondents claimed to have tried smoking for the first time when they were between 16 and 18 years old. While cigarette smoking is decreasing all over the world, Indonesia seems to be bucking the trend. Indonesia has one of the highest smoking rates in the world and is one of the biggest producers of tobacco worldwide.
