Water temperature and stream discharge were determined for the Kuparuk River in 2006 . In recent years, pressure transducer dataloggers have measured stream temperature and stream height at regular intervals. A rating curve was developed to calculate continuous discharge from stage height. Stage height was measured on the Kuparuk about 1 km above the Dalton Highway crossing.
