The series consists of minutes for meetings held by the NSW Aborigines Advisory Council.The Aborigines Act, 1969 (Act No.7, 1969) constituted the Aborigines Advisory Council, which comprised of  representatives who convened and reported to the Minister on matters relating to Aboriginal people. (1) The Council held monthly meetings at a variety of locations in NSW, with the inaugural meeting being held on 11 February, 1971. Topics for discussion included proposed amendments to the Aborigines Act, education assistance, health, housing, the management of reserves and development of projects. The last meeting in the series was dated 11 October, 1973 prior to the upcoming Aboriginal Advisory Council election which was due to be held in November 1973.The meeting minutes were typewritten and compiled into one volume.
