Fill from a roasting pit at site 42IN2520 in southwest Utah was floated to recover charred
macrofloral remains for identification and AMS radiocarbon dating (Table 1). This site is a large,
open artifact scatter and a possible chert source area. Macrofloral analysis will be used to
provide subsistence information concerning plant resources utilized by the prehistoric occupants
of the site, as well as to identify charred material to be used for AMS radiocarbon dating.
