Supplement data to the publication entitled "Empirical assessment of the feeding and husbandry challenges between early-separation and cow-calf contact rearing systems in southern German dairy farms"

The supplementary material includes the questionnaire used in the survey of farmers, which forms the basis of the results presented in “Empirical assessment of the feeding and husbandry challenges between early-separation and cow–calf contact rearing systems in southern German dairy farms”. In addition, Supplementary Figure S1 provides a graphical overview of the survey structure and questionnaire design, allowing readers to quickly identify and contextualize the main thematic areas of the study. For the question addressing separation management, farmers were given the opportunity to provide additional details. These responses, corresponding to the “Other, namely” option for the separation procedure, are summarized in Supplementary Table S1. All original responses submitted by survey participants were translated from German into English.
