DATASET ON THE ANALYTICAL CO-HYDROPYROLYSIS OF CHILEAN OAK AND POLYETHYLENE UNDER CATALYTIC AND NON-CATALYTIC CONDITIONS

The valorization of biomass and plastic waste through thermochemical methods has been a topic of special interest in recent years. The experimental results we provide in this dataset encompass biomass (Nothofagus Obliqua) and plastics (LDPE and HDPE) pyrolysis in non-catalytic and catalytic (C-Al2O3 and Ni/C-Al2O3) reactive atmosphere (H2). The statistical contribution of seven operational parameters was examined through two unique Design of Experiments (DoE). The first DoE assessed the non-catalytic effects of the hydrogenating atmosphere on volatile stream deoxygenation. The second focused on discerning the impact of a novel catalytic structure (MOF@derived) on the synthesis of Benzene, Toluene, and Xylenes (BTXs) chemical platforms. Results (.xls) are reported in terms of the relative area of each compound.
This dataset provides statistically and analytically relevant value for mechanistic elucidation, industrial scaling, modeling, and synthesis of chemical compounds of interest in the (hydro)pyrolysis of carbonaceous materials.
The three folders presented contain:
1. Processed data: Two .xlsx files providing processed data from the single experimental designs for non-catalytic and catalytic co-hydropyrolysis.
2. CHP-NO CAT: .Raw files containing the chromatograms of the non-catalytic experimental design.
3. CHP-CAT: .Raw files containing the chromatograms of the catalytic experimental design.
4. Characterizations: Two .xlsx files containing: (i) the thermogravimetric characterization of the feedstocks, and (ii) the physicochemical characterization of the catalysts.
