Supplementary dataset to "Linking spatiotemporal and demographic patterns in modulating local population outbreak of invasive forest insect"

This dataset includes field data collected in a 223-hectare pine plantation during a local outbreak of the woodwasp Sirex noctilio. The aim was to assess the spatial and demographic structure of the outbreak through the combined analysis of attack patterns, oviposition behavior, and the performance of emerging adults. Infestation levels were surveyed at the plot scale, and differences were characterized between trees sampled in the outbreak epicenter and its periphery. The variables include the proportion of infested trees, oviposition intensity, number of emerging adults, thorax width as an indicator of body size, and estimates of natural parasitism. These data provide a basis for exploring spatial and demographic mechanisms in the dynamics of invasive forest insect outbreaks.
