Internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy for tinnitus in the United States (ICBT US Study): A Randomized Clinical Trial

This data set was generated as a part of the clinical trial to examine the efficacy of the Internet-based cognitive behavioural therapy for tinnitus in the US population (Clinicaltrials.gov registration no NCT04004260). A prospective two-arm delayed intervention efficacy trial with a 2-month follow-up was implemented. Participants were randomized to the Experimental group (n=79) who received the ICBT intervention for 8-weeks, or the Control group (n=79) were monitored weekly during this 8-week period. During Phase I the experimental group completed the intervention. Following this, both groups completed T1 outcome measures. During Phase II, the control group underwent the same ICBT intervention while the experimental group had an 8 week waiting period. After the control group completed the intervention both groups were invited to complete T2 outcomes.
