Trace metal data collected during the Gradients 5 cruise (TN412), which sailed from San Diego, CA, USA to Honolulu, HI, USA from January to February 2023. Samples were collected at depths between 20 and 500 m using a trace-metal-clean rosette system equipped with 8 L Niskin bottles. Seawater for dissolved metal analysis was filtered through AcroPak 0.2 µm filter capsules. Samples were transported to the laboratory for processing and analyzed for concentrations using an Agilent 8900 ICP-MS.
