资源简介:

This dataset contains geolocated field observations collected in Western Bahia, Brazil, a key region for agricultural expansion in the Cerrado biome. The data provides ground truth points used to validate remote sensing classifications of land use and land cover, with a specific focus on irrigated agriculture and water infrastructure. The dataset consists of GPS points labeled with land cover classes and detailed field notes. Key features observed include: Agricultural Systems: Center pivot irrigation systems (active/inactive), rainfed agriculture, and pasture. Crop Types: Identification of specific crops, including Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum), Maize (Zea mays), Soybean (Glycine max), Millet, Sorghum, Beans, and Coffee. Water Infrastructure: Locations of tube wells, water reservoirs ("piscinões"), and irrigation canals. Native Vegetation: Remnants of Cerrado vegetation and transition zones. File Structure: gps_points.parquet: The primary dataset contains GPS IDs, classified tags (e.g., PVT for Pivot, COT for Cotton), and detailed qualitative field notes describing the crop stage, irrigation method, and surrounding landscape. gps_point_description.xlsx: A data dictionary defining the abbreviations used in the primary dataset (e.g., "PVT = Pivot irrigation", "WTA = Water tank/Reservoir").
