ISS ESG provides financial market participants, governments and universities with carbon and climate data, ratings, analytics, and advisory services.
Climate change is among the top issues for investors globally. The financial sector has demonstrated an unprecedented commitment to climate leadership by taking prominent roles in international climate initiatives such as the Montreal Carbon Pledge, the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and the Paris Climate Agreement.
The Potential Avoided Emissions data provides data on the potential avoided emissions (PAE) generated from utilities’ generation of renewable energy and the emissions avoided from turnkey technologies generating electricity from renewable sources (e.g. wind, solar, hydro, and geothermal).
