Loeys-Dietz Syndrome (LDS), caused by a spectrum of mutations in the TGF-ß signaling cascade, leads to aggressive thoracic aneurysms. Given the ubiquitous nature of TGF-ß signaling machinery, the exact cell type(s) responsible for initiation of LDS pathogenesis is poorly understood. Overall design: Aortic root and ascending aortic tissue from 24-week-old Tgfbr2G357W/+ (Loeys-Dietz Syndrome) and WT littler mate control mice was subjected to tissue digestion and single-cell RNA sequencing. Male and female replicate were processed as individual libraries from each genotype, yielding 4 samples total.
