The Indonesian District Life Expectancy and Social Determinants Panel (IDLES): a constant-boundary panel of life expectancy and social determinants for Indonesia's districts, 2010–2024, with a population-weighted pemekaran crosswalk

A constant-2010-boundary longitudinal panel of sex-disaggregated district (kabupaten/kota) life expectancy and multidimensional social determinants for Indonesia, 2010–2024, compiled from official Statistics Indonesia (BPS) series (not re-modelled). Built around a population-weighted pemekaran transition matrix that folds all post-2010 districts back to their constant-2010 parents by mass-preserving aggregation, yielding 498 constant-2010 units (7,470 district-years; 6,746 with observed sex-disaggregated life expectancy), together with a constant-2010 boundary layer and a per-district-year credibility flag. Provincial re-aggregation matches the official BPS figures (RMSE 1.10–1.18 years across 2015–2022). The deposit contains the crosswalk/transition matrix, the harmonised life-expectancy and social-determinant panels, the constant-2010 boundary files, the codebook, and a reproducible R and Python pipeline.
