Data supporting the study: "A lab-in-the-field approach for effective soil organic carbon estimation in croplands using in situ RGB imaging"

This dataset contains soil images collected under different conditions and corresponding laboratory-measured soil organic carbon (SOC) data.The dataset includes:(1) insitu.zip: field-acquired in situ soil surface images;(2) lab_bulk.zip: Images of air-dried, unsieved (bulk) soil samples taken in a controlled laboratory environment;(3) lab_sieved.zip:Images of soil samples after sieving through a 2 mm mesh;(4) SOC.csv: measured SOC values (%) for all samples.Sample IDs are consistent across all image files and the SOC data file, enabling one-to-one matching between images and laboratory measurements.
