Public forests (public dissemination)

The forest is an immovable property owned by one or more landowners. It is most often characterised by a plant formation composed of trees and shrubs, and considered by the NFB as the spatial reference unit for forest management and the implementation of sustainable management. The NFB is a forest manager by law (forest system) or contract.
