Wastewater biological treatment 16S rRNA sequencing

The objective of this study was to determine the impact of conventional biological treatment processes on the chemical and microbial composition of wastewater. Samples were collected before and after three different biological treatment processes across 12 different wastewater treatment utilities in Oregon. The microbiome was determined from 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing, and chemical composition was determined using LC-MS/MS.
