To investigate the effects of fucose on ISCs mediated intestinal epithelial cells (IECs) development, we administrated mice with fucose for 4 weeks. ISCs stemness, IECs proliferation and differentiation were examined. Variation of gut microbe and metabolism were detected by 16S rDNA sequencing and metabolomics analysis. Fucose was added into the culture medium of bacteria to further study its effects on the metabolism. Crypts were isolated from mice ileum and organoids were cultured in vitro to evaluated the effects of metabolites and the underlying mechanism.
