mRNA expression data from murine hearts of control or melatonin-treated young wild type (WT) C57Bl/6 mice

Mice are 4 weeks old on a C57Bl/6N background strain, hearts were collected at ZT15, following 1 week daily administration of melatonin at 4mg/L (human equivalent of 5mg dose) in the drinking water from ZT12-15. The microarray approach allows the investigation of gene expression changes of all genes in WT control vs. WT melatonin-treated hearts. There are a total of 12 samples, 6 from WT control and 6 from WT melatonin-treated. Animals were sacrificed at 3 hours into the dark phase.
