RNA sequencing of CTOT19 transplantation patients [bulk RNA-seq]

The CTOT19 cohort (38.2% AA, 44% White) represents a randomized controlled trial investigating the efficacy of remicade induction therapy for deceased donor kidney transplant recipients within 2 year followed-up (NCT02495077). With a cohort of 225 patients, the study spanned 2 years to assess the effectiveness of this therapy. RNA sequencing was executed on pretransplant blood from 130 recipients, utilizing 75bp-long paired-end (75PE) reads. Notably, the recipients were representative of various ethnicities: 49 African American, 26 Caucasian, 41 Hispanic, and 14 individuals from other ethnic backgrounds. RNA sequencing data in this cohort was used to validate the variant expression of LILRB3-4SNPs in AA recipients. The RNA data in 49 AA recipients was combined with two cohorts to identify the meta-gene signatures associated with the LILRB3-4SNPs.
