Hepatic transcriptional profiles of pregnant ewes

A transcriptome approach was used to investigate the alteration of hepatic transcriptional profiles and especially the molecular mechanisms of lipid metabolism disorders in ewes with pregnancy toxemia. Ten ewes carrying multiple fetuses were randomly assigned to a control group (CON, normal feeding) and a treated group (TR, restricted to 30% of normal feeding) at 115 days of gestation for a 15-day treatment period to establish a pathological model of pregnancy toxemia. Liver samples were collected for transcriptional profiling analysis via RNA sequencing.
