This dataset contains experimental and simulation results on the generation of ring electron beams from a laser-wakefield accelerator. Experiments were performed using the ASTRA-GEMINI laser at the Central Laser Facility, Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, UK. Simulations were performed using the code FBPIC (https://fbpic.github.io) and GPT (http://www.pulsar.nl/gpt/). This data is the basis of the paper by A. Maitrallain et. al. "Parametric study of high-energy ring-shaped electron beams from a laser wakefield accelerator" accepted in New Journal of Physics.
