Comparing the performance of ITS1 and ITS2 as barcodes in amplicon-based sequencing of bioaerosols

The objective of this work is to use air samples from composting, sites, biomethanization facilities, and dairy farms to make a systematic comparison of the performance of ITS1 and ITS2 in determining the fungal diversity of bioaerosols. In addition, shotgun metagenomics was applied to air samples from dairy farms in order to compare its results with the HTS approach based on ITS1 and ITS2
