Dataset about Citation Characteristics of Academic papers in the South China Sea Based on Intention and Emotion

The data comes from 240 academic papers in the field of humanities and social sciences in the South China Sea included in the web of science core database. The citation intention of South China Sea academic papers is divided into "background, comparison, fundamental idea and technical basis"; citation emotions are divided into "positive", "neutral" and "negative". Based on manual extraction of 1087 citation texts from 240 papers, and according to the above classification system, the citation intention and emotion are further marked.
