Data for: "Getting users to click: a content analysis of phishers’ tactics and techniques in mobile instant messaging phishing"

The dataset consists of images of mobile instant messaging phishing messages used in the paper "Getting users to click: a content analysis of phishers’ tactics and techniques in mobile instant messaging phishing". The data was collected using the Google search engine. The methodology relied on the use of Google Image search to search and collect images of MIM phishing messages posted on different websites by individuals and organisations. The target images were those of MIM phishing targeting the users of Telegram, WhatsApp, and Viber. The images are presented in a Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) file.
