Preliminary study of cryptic diversity of Sphaeriidae in springs [Pilotażowe badania kryptycznej różnorodności Sphaeriidae w źródliskach]

This dataset contains data collected from a preliminary study of cryptic diversity of Sphaeriidae in springs, aimed at characterising hidden species-level variation using an integrative approach combining field sampling, morphological identification, and molecular analyses. The dataset includes occurrence records, specimen metadata, and metadata for sampled springs. In addition, it provides genetic sequence data in .txt format (and/or aligned datasets). The dataset serves as a resource for researchers studying freshwater bivalve biodiversity, spring ecosystems, and conservation of microhabitat-specialist taxa, and is intended to support further taxonomic revision, comparative biogeographic analyses, and future monitoring efforts.
