Model-derived crater degradation states and initial crater diameters of Xie (2026)
收藏资源简介:
Model-derived crater degradation states and initial crater diameters of the 2026 PSJ paper “Flux of large impacts on the Moon enhanced near the beginning of the Copernican period” authored by Minggang Xie. The results derived from the nominal crater depth, 98% and 102% of the nominal depth are given in fitting_results.xlsx, fitting_results - 0.98d.xlsx, and fitting_results - 1.02d.xlsx, respectively. The data in columns one to four are adopted from Fassett and Thomson (2014). Diam_km: measured crater diameter in kilometers x_coord: longitude of a crater center y_coord: latitude of a crater center Crater ID: unique crater ID crater density: density of craters with measured diameters ≥ 800 m in km^{-2}, which was extracted from the crater density raster of Fassett and Thomson (2014) (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.6011671) K_nlin: model-derived degradation state of a crater in m^2 from the nonlinear model K_nlin_neg: 1σ lower than the K_nlin K_nlin_pos: 1σ larger than the K_nlin K_lin: model-derived degradation state of a crater in m^2 from the linear model K_lin_neg: 1σ lower than the K_lin K_lin_pos: 1σ larger than the K_lin D0_lin: model-derived initial diameter of a crater in meters from the linear model D0_lin_neg: 1σ lower than the D0_lin D0_lin_pos: 1σ larger than the D0_lin D0_nlin: model-derived initial diameter of a crater in meters from the nonlinear model D0_nlin_neg: 1σ lower than the D0_nlin D0_nlin_pos: 1σ larger than the D0_nlin offset_lin: the value of z0 for the best-matched crater profile derived from the linear model (see equation 12) offset_nlin: the value of z0 for the best-matched crater profile derived from the nonlinear model (see equation 12) K_nlin_1km: derived from the K_nlin and the D0_nlin by using equation (13) K_lin_1km: derived from the K_lin and the D0_lin by using equation (13) K_nlin_1km_neg: derived from the K_nlin_neg and the D0_nlin by using equation (13) K_lin_1km_neg: derived from the K_lin_neg and the D0_lin by using equation (13) K_nlin_1km_pos: derived from the K_nlin_pos and the D0_nlin by using equation (13) K_lin_1km_pos: derived from the K_lin_pos and the D0_lin by using equation (13) Note that except for citing Xie (2026), the use of these data should also cite Fassett and Thomson (2014).
