Monthly ocean bottom pressure anomalies 1980-2014 and 2030-2049 from CMIP6 HighResMIP models

Data supplement for manuscript "Assessment of ocean bottom pressure variations in CMIP6 HighResMIP simulations" by Le Liu, Michael Schindelegger, Lara Börger, Judith Foth, Junyang Gou, submitted to Ocean Science (February 2025).  

Contents:

Monthly ocean bottom pressure anomalies over 1980-2014 and 2030-2049 obtained from three CMIP6 HighResMIP models:  HadGEM3-GC3.1 (Hadley Centre Global Environment Model 3 -- Global Coupled vn 3.1),  CNRM-CM6-1 (Centre National de Recherches Météorologiques Climate Model version 6), and EC-Earth3P. Bottom pressure fields for the time period 1980-2014 are from each model's hist-1950 experiment, whereas the fields for 2030-2049 are from the respective highres-future experiments under SSP5-8.5 assumptions.

Monthly files for each model and time period (e.g., OBP_Omon_CNRM_HR_highres-future_r1i1p1f2_203001-204912.nc)

Spatial mean in each month and temporal mean at each point are reduced

Units: cm of equivalent water height

Data given on ORCA025 grid with nominal grid spacing of 1/4°

Static atmospheric contribution to bottom pressure: excluded
