Processed ship-based Multibeam Sonar Data (version 2) acquired in the Atlantic Ocean along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge during the Knorr expedition KN145-19 (1996)

This data set was acquired with a ship-based SeaBeam 2112 Multibeam Sonar system during Knorr expedition KN145-19 conducted in 1996 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Daniel Fornari). These data files are of MBSystem format and include Sidescan, Swath Bathymetry, and Acoustic Backscatter data and were processed by the GMRT Team using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software as part of the GMRT Synthesis effort. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, version 1. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): MosaicViewer, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): MOMARNet and OCE95-05579.
