This dataset is the digitization of the permafrost distribution map from the 1:4,000,000-scale Glacier, Frozen Soil and Desert Map of China. To align with the global permafrost classification system, this map divides permafrost into five categories, including:
1. Discontinuous permafrost: permafrost continuity coefficient 50%-90%
2. Sporadic (island-like) permafrost: permafrost continuity coefficient < 50%
