Monitoring ESBL-Escherichia coli in Swiss wastewater between November 2021 and November 2022: insights into population carriage

We applied the a digital multiplex ligation assays (dMLA) for the simultaneous detection and quantification of hundreds of beta-lactamase-encoding genes in Escherichia coli isolates isolated from wastewater in Switzerland. This raw Illumina MiSeq data of the project can be translated into accurate counts of individual beta-lactamase-encoding genes.
