Visual core description following the scheme suggested by Schnurrenberger et al., 2003. One sub-core of the multicorer set was transferred into a plastic liner that was pre-cut into halves. The core was then split with a plastic string into two halves. The surface was photographed and described visually. Description was done using the PSICAT 1.0.0 software package.
