Delft3D FM Alaska Tide and Storm Surge Model Output (1979–2022)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains hydrodynamic model output from Delft3D Flexible Mesh (DFM) simulations covering tide and storm surge conditions across the entire Alaska coastline for the period 1979–2022. The model was forced with tidal boundary conditions derived from the TPXO 8.0 global tidal model and wind fields from ERA5 reanalysis, corrected to account for increased wind shear over ice-covered waters. The outputs include simulated water levels and flow parameters at multiple coastal and estuarine locations throughout Alaska. The dataset comprises: 1151 NetCDF files with time series output for observed or strategic model locations A KML file providing geographic visualization of observation/output point locations An Excel overview file listing station names, locations, and metadata associated with the NetCDF files These results support analysis of coastal flooding, storm surge, and long-term hydrodynamic conditions, including the influence of ice dynamics on storm surge processes. All data are in NetCDF format compatible with common analysis tools (e.g. Python, MATLAB, R).
