资源简介:
The 1990s began with Downtown Dallas as an overbuilt office market home to fewer than 250 full-time residents. The City of Dallas Office of Economic Development responded with an ambitious effort led by tax-increment financing (TIF), to convert obsolete office and hotel space to new mixed uses. In just 20 years, over 12 million square feet of vacant buildings have been given new life, combining with new construction to bring over 11,000 residents to the area. Today, downtown Dallas remains the largest corporate hub in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with over 108,000 jobs, and has emerged as the region’s vibrant live-work-learn-play center. Follow this tour to learn about the forty (40) buildings that have rejuvenated through this effort.
