Gene expression differences between 66cl4 and 67NR in culture and primary tumours

The aim was to identify genes encoding proteins that contributes to metastasis of breast cancer. The strategy was to compare the transcriptomes of the metastasis able 66cl4 and the metastasis unable 67NR cells. Bothe of these cell lines originate from the same spontaneous BALB/c breast tumour. RNA was isolated from different passages of subconfluent cell cultures and from primary tumours formed after injection into the fat pad of female BALB/c mice. The isolated RNA was subjected to sequencing and the transcriptomes compared.
