The goals of this study were: 1) to compare the transcriptome of a mouse line selected for high voluntary wheel running and a control line, and 2) evaluate the differences in the cerebellum and in the striatum. Overall design: At approximately 6 weeks of age, male mice from the selected and control lines were individually place in cages including a running wheel. Brain samples were collected after 7 days. Paired-end RNA sequencing was used to profile individual cerebellum and striatum samples.
