Participation in education in Sweden 2021, by county

In 2021, Stockholm county had the highest number of people engaged in education, reaching over 1.55 million students. The county of Västra Götaland followed with roughly 1.1 million students, with Skåne in third with 856,000 students. The island of Gotland had the fewest number of people participating in education, only 35,000.
