Data and scripts fo publication Melnikova et al. (2023): Melnikova, I., Ciais, P., Tanaka, K. et al. Relative benefits of allocating land to bioenergy crops and forests vary by region. Commun Earth Environ 4, 230 (2023). https://doi.org/10.1038/s43247-023-00866-7 We use bash, CDO and python. Land-use mask for SSP5-3.4-OS-AR simulation (assuming afforestation instead of BECCS after 2040) was prepared using src/PFTforAR.sh IPSL-CM6A-LR model simulations were performed in a consistent way with CMIP6 simulations. The (pre-processed to annual) output files are in the ARoutputs directory. Pre-processing of the data was done using bash scripts in src directory. Final manuscript figures were made using python in the jupyter-notebook AR-BECCS.ipynb The data to reproduce the figures are stored in csv and nc directories.
