This research project aims to investigate the ecological adaptation mechanisms of the dominant desert grass Psammochloa villosa to arid environments in northwest China through an integrated Multi-Omics approach. The study employs comprehensive genomic analyses, including chromosome-scale genome assembly and population genomic resequencing, to explore evolutionary history and genetic variation. Transcriptomic approaches are utilized to examine gene family expression patterns under drought stress conditions. Additionally, the research integrates environmental variables to identify genomic regions associated with climatic adaptation. Multi-omics data encompass genome assembly, population genomics, transcriptomics, and environmental association analysis, collectively providing a systematic framework to understand the genomic basis of desert adaptation in this important grass species.
