This dataset contains the raw text of audit reports originally published on the website of the Controladoria-Geral da União (CGU). The data was scraped in 2020 using the script scrape_pdfs.py as part of the research for the paper "A Machine Learning Approach to Analyze and Support Anti-Corruption Policy", published in the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy. Since then, the structure of the CGU website has changed and the scraper is no longer functional. However, all reports remain publicly accessible and can be manually retrieved from the CGU website.
