Data and R code for: Human disturbance and sex-specific responses drive low-light activity in fallow deer
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains all data and R scripts supporting the manuscript: de Lange, A., Geelen, L.H.W.T., & Kissling, W.D. (2026). Human disturbance and sex-specific responses drive low-light activity in fallow deer. Submitted. The repository provides full reproducibility of analyses examining seasonal and sex-specific diel activity patterns of European fallow deer (Dama dama) in the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen (the Netherlands). Contents include: Raw camera-trap observation exports and associated metadata for three focal sampling periods (rut, post-rut, and birthing). Processed and cleaned fallow deer detection datasets, including sequencing procedures and sensitivity analyses assessing the effect of time-to-independence filtering. R scripts for data extraction, cleaning, diel niche modelling (selection framework), kernel density estimation, and temporal overlap analysis. Derived analytical outputs, including Diel.Niche triplots, posterior probability tables, overlap estimates, and kernel density visualisations used in the manuscript. The repository is organised into three main directories: 1_Raw_Data – Original camera-trap export (CSV) and API extraction code (Rmd) from the UvA sensor portal. 2_Processed_Data – Cleaned datasets, processing scripts, and sensitivity analyses. 3_Derived_Data – Final outputs, figures, and summary tables reported in the manuscript. Together, these materials allow complete reproducibility of the study, from raw camera-trap records to final figures and statistical results.
