Bathing water quality in Northern Ireland 2018-2023

In 2023, around 92 percent of bathing waters assessed in Northern Ireland met the minimum standards to at least reach a good water quality status. In particular, 69.2 percent were classified as excellent, a considerable decrease from the 80.8 percent of bathing sites ranked as excellent a year prior.
